Formerly of Winnfield, LA, Golden has resided in Shreveport, LA for approximately two and a half years. This proud mother of one baby girl has been singing since she was six years old. The strength and projection in her voice reveal the church roots in her training. She traveled as a child with the Greater Neal Temple, COGIC in Winnfield, and is no stranger to performance. She names the great Shirley Caesar as her inspiration, and both of her mothers: Dean Wells and Verlinda Cunningham as her motivators. Golden compares her versatile styles to Kiki Shears (Gospel), Jill Scott (Jazz), and Kelly Price (R&B). Golden is unsigned and in pursuit of a recording offer. Golden says her goal is to inspire people, especially young people and to prove that it is possible to get a point across without the use of profanity. She would like to be successful in order to help her family, be in a position to give back to the community, and be of assistance to Bishop Larry Brandon of Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral.
