POEMS BY JASON

We Are Poets
We have the power
To change, influence, and inspire
We won't retire
Because of our strong poetic desire
It's like a burning flame
Our words flow endlessly
They are hard to tame
You have to be a role model or set a good example
We can't keep living the same way
Inform people about right
Wrong needs to stray
We're here to help
We're here to make you understand
Love is what we need throughout this land
Keep trying
Never give up or quit
Stand up for what you believe in
Don't sit
We won't fall apart or fade away
We will always stand together
We are poets
Now and forever

A New Day
A new day
I'm not going to put up with that mess
A new day
You will not fill my heart with unhappiness

A new day
You will not abuse or beat me
You will not bring me down
You will not defeat me

A new day
I'm not going to listen to the negativity that you say
A new day
I'm doing things my way

A new day
No more misery
A new day
Disappointment and failure will not stop me

I know problems will happen
Because that's a part of life
I won't let those problems
Bring me strife

A new day
Trying and participating
A new day
No more giving up or procrastinating
