ABOUT SUPPORT
Requesting support is never an easy thing. You'd think
that when someone wants something or wants to do something, that
they'd tackle it themselves. But this movement is much bigger than us and requires more than we alone can provide.Bringing Regional Slams and nationally renowned artists to Shreveport, or lifting existing venues in Shreveport to Regional prominence takes a combined effort.
The movement is strong in Shreveport. There are Poets, Rappers, Singers, Freestylists, Playwrites, Novelists and much more in Shreveport, who have gifts to be shared. Gifts that uplift. Gifts that inspire hope and pride.
So the question becomes, "How does one support the movement?"
You can: 1) Attend events 2) Participate in events 3) Bring a friend 4) Provide a location 5) Leave donations 6) Lodge guest artists 7) Place ad in this site 8) All of the above |
