8 Years Old

I remember
The time I was eight
I don't know if I was born too early
Or too late
At that time I stood as a kid
But you know in those days
I wanted to be big
I use to run around the house and use large bath towels for wigs
When I knew that my mom kept my hair in four twigs
My mom use to always tell me
"Stop rushing your age and be glad you're eight"
Because when you reach eighteen
It will be too late
I never knew what my mom meant
Back then
But when I did turn eighteen
I was wishing
I were eight again

What I Think About Church

When I think about church
I think of home
Because church is a place
Where everybody belongs
It is a place that you go
Where no one else is there
It is a place that you need
When no one else care
I wish that I could visit
More than just Sunday
Because I find my bad days
Mostly on Monday
My Tuesday and Wednesday
Sometimes means nothing to me
When it became Thursday and Friday
I began to feel free
My Saturday is also special to me
But Sunday is the dayI live to see
Because when I have hard times through the week
And it hurt
I know that the pain will leave me Sunday
When I go to church

They Wanted to Know, So I Told Them

They wanted to know my name
I told them it was Marilyn McNeal
They wanted to know where I resided
I told them that it was confidential where I live
They wanted to know my background
So I told them that I was not a two-time loser
They wanted to know about my kids
So I told them I have nothing but love for them and I'm not a child abuser
They wanted to know, how did I get the things that I got?
So I told them that I worked very hard and I prayed a lot
They wanted to know about my grill
So I told them, "It's just the thug in me and I like to keep it real"
They wanted to know about my mother
So I told them that she was as real as they came and that there could never be another
Then they wanted to know about my lover
So I told them enough questions for today cause I'm not going any further

My Description

I'm about 5'3
And a smooth covered chocolate
I weigh about 250 pounds
But don't think I can't rock it
I can't get these latest dance moves
I can still pop it
If you want me to, I can drop it

I'm grilled up, hair down my back
I'm showing out, I need to stop it
If you think you got the master key
I'm the one to unlock it

I don't need anything from no one
I can fill my own pocket
And I stay as real as it comes
So don't try to knock it
